Q: Is my rooftop right for the rooftop solar plant installation?

The primary requirements for a solar rooftop system are shadow free space and weight bearing capacity of 35Kgs/Sqmtr. on the roof. If the two factors are in line the roof can easily accommodate solar rooftop system.

Q: How does rooftop solar plant impact my roof integrity?

Roof integrity remains intact after the installation of solar rooftop system. A standard solar installation requires 35Kgs/Sqmtr. of dead weight bearing on the roof which most of the RCC roofs can accommodate easily. Solar plants can also withstand dynamic loads. HomeScape solar plant can withstand wind speeds of 170km/hr. without harming the roof integrity.

Q: How much time does it take to install a residential rooftop solar plant?

A typical 5kWp of residential solar installation may require 3-5 working days from delivery of equipment at the site.

Q: What are the safety precautions being taken while installing the rooftop solar plant?

A strong emphasis is always laid on the safety of Man and Material at the site. All the solar related equipment is safely transported and stored in proper packaging to ensure zero damage of material during transit to the site. The Installation team on the site ensures that Amplus safety protocol is always adhered to during the construction phase of the plant. Proper safety gear (shoes, helmets, reflective jackets etc.) is worn by the team at the site to minimize any safety related hazards.

Q: How will you install it on my roof?

We will be anchoring the legs of the structure by penetrating chemical fasteners into the roof. The structure gets attached to the roof in this manner and can bear cross winds speed of more than 170km/hr. Special chemical agents will be used to ensure waterproofing of the roof area.

Q: I am planning to add a floor to my house. Can I dismantle and reinstall the system?

We can dismantle and reinstall the system. The cost involved will be minimal and we can use the presently installed components.

Q: I am having a stone roof instead of RCC roof. Can we still do the installation?

We will have to conduct a proper site assessment before finalizing anything related to stone roof area. Generally our systems are designed to be installed on RCC roof.

Q: I want to install the system on a shed. Will it be possible?

We can do the installation on a shed but it will be subject to following conditions:- • The sheet on the shed should be metal type. • The shed should be capable of taking 20kgs/sqmtr. of dead weight

Q: I am also having a normal inverter at my residence. Will it get impacted with the introduction of solar system.?

The functioning of the conventional inverter will not get affected in any manner. Rather it will get charged by the solar system since it is drawing AC current.

How much area is required to install a rooftop solar system?

We require approximately 80-100sqft. of shadow free space to install a 1kWp system.
